Jeannette Shirley Jangraw passed away, surrounded by loving family, on July 17th, 2018, at University of Vermont Medical Center. Jeannette was 32 years young.
Jeannette was brought into this world on December 16th, 1985 in Burlington, Vermont, the first born of three daughters to Steven and Dorothy Jangraw.
Jeannette had a way of making light of any difficult situation she walked into; a modern day joker, Jeannette was humble, and selfless to the point of exhaustion. With a heart of gold, Jeannette always made herself available to anyone in distress or need of comfort (to include stray animals). In her youth, she enjoyed softball, cheerleading, gardening, cosmetology, and learning everything from Braille to American Sign Language as a means to connect with those who had communication limitations.
Jeannette's heart belonged to her son, Reese, as family was her East, and Reese was her sun. She had an unbreakable faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and walked the path of Christianity throughout her struggles, without anger or questioning.
If you know anyone struggling with addiction, love them unconditionally. If you yourself are enduring this battle, learn to love yourself, as your family needs you more than you know. For those reading with a judgemental mentality, heroin took the life of our Jeannette; we are all capable of falling, as we are but only human.
Jeannette is survived by her parents Steven and Dorothy Jangraw, son Reese Wells, and sisters Katrina and Stephanie Jangraw, as well as several cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
We would like to thank UVM Medical center for their efforts in keeping Jeannette with us for the duration they could.
