Jacquelyn Willette McKenna passed away following a long illness on November 6, 2018, at home in the company of her loving husband John. Jacquelyn was predeceased by her parents Homer and Cecile, and her brothers Francis and James. Jaquelyn is survived by her brother Joseph and wife Suzanne Willette, her sisters—in-law Sally Willette and Mary Willette, and John's brother Joseph and wife Mary, and his sisters Elizabeth and husband Steven Betzler, Mary and husband Vincent Deegan, and Loretta and husband Andrew Hill III, as well as several cousins and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family gratefully acknowledges the care and support of Our Lady of Providence Residential Care, the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program, and Armistead Caregiver Services.

Jacquelyn's professional career was devoted to community service first as a Sister of Mercy (1958-68), later as Secretary, Associate Director and Director of Burlington Ecumenical Action Ministry (BEAM, 1968-75), as Personnel Specialist and Employee Relations and Development Manager at Medical Center Hospital of Vermont (1978-1988), and as Administrative Assistant to the Superior General of the Society of St. Edmund at Saint Michael's College (1990-2002).

Jacquelyn will be remembered for her generosity of spirit, her radiant smile and warmth, her gentle yet valiant soul, her openness of mind and desire to learn, her work in building bridges that unite people of differing beliefs and values, and her commitment to social justice.
